Graduate Program The Division of Biological Sciences offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees (in Biochem/ Microbiology) with an option in Microbial Ecology. Our group (see Faculty, Research, and Labs) offers a variety of research approaches and topics in microbial ecology. Graduate student projects are either funded by Division Teaching Assistantships or through research grants. Currently, these are at $14,500 plus tuition waver and summer salary (RA's). Research, while not limited to Montana, certainly takes advantage of the stunning natural setting and local ecosystems (terrestrial and aquatic).
